Clark family recipe for Stuffed Peppers.

Ingredients

  • 2 green peppers
  • 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • A 1 Sauce
  • Heinz 57 sauce
  • garlic powder
  • oatmeal (I like to use quick cooking)
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Cut peppers in half and take out seed and pulp. Mix chuck (I pinch
  2. off enough meat that I think will fill each pepper)., 1 egg yolk,
  3. sauces (small amt. of each), 2 tbsp. oatmeal, season with garlic
  4. powder, salt and pepper to taste. Press mixture into pepper halves
  5. and bake uncovered in 350 degree oven for approx. 30/45 minutes
  6. (depending on oven). You can check of doneness by inserting
  7. knife. Top the meat with catsup, return to oven and let heat about 5
  8. minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

If you prefer, cooked rice can be used instead of oatmeal, but you would want to use probably about 1 cup.
