Clark family recipe for Strawberry Cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 Strawberry Cake Mix
  • Fresh strawberries
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 box powder sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix cake mix according to package. Instead of all the water,
  2. squish some of the fresh strawberries up into the measuring cup to
  3. equal the required amount. (The berries will displace the water.)
  4. Grease or Pam 3 cake pans and pour batter evenly. Bake as
  5. instructed. They will cook faster than instructions since you're
  6. baking 3. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  7. Look up Cream Cheese Frosting and instead of adding milk to
  8. obtain the right consistency, add strawberry juice along with some
  9. finely chopped up strawberries. The icing should turn a nice
  10. strawberry pink!

Notes

This cake is a favorite in the summertime when you can use fresh strawberries.
