Clark family recipe for Pork Loin with Red Plum Sauce.
Ingredients
- 5 to 8 lb pork loin
- Garlic salt/powder
- Onion salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3/4 chopped onion
- 1 cup red plum jelly
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°. Sprinkle pork with garlic and onion salts;
- place fat side up in roasting pan. Cook for 25 minutes per pound.
- Melt butter, add onion, and cook until tender. Add remaining
- ingredients; simmer for 15 minutes.
- Pour 1/2 the sauce over pork meat. Cook an additional 20 30
- minutes. Serve extra sauce on the side.
