Clark family recipe for Layered Salad.
Ingredients
- Head of lettuce (cleaned, dried and cut in bite sized pieces
- 1 - 1 1/2 Cup Mayonaise (depends on how juicy you want the salad!)
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 3 4 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar (or any other flavored vineragrette)
- Green Onions
- Bacon
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Frozen green peas (Optional... can't really tell if they're there or not!)
Instructions
- Layer a casserole pan with lettuce. Mix the mayo, sugar and
- vinegar together. Spread some over the lettuce. Sprinkle with
- crispy bacon (can you use bacon bits but freshly cooked bacon is
- better!), cut up green onions, cheese and peas. Do it all over again
- just like lasagna.
Notes
Make a couple of hours early, cover and put in refrigerator so the tastes can meld.
