Garlic Cheese Grits

Clark family recipe for Garlic Cheese Grits.
Ingredients
- Grits (Not the quick ones)
- Butter
- Cheese
- Cream Cheese
- Aloette Garlic and Herb
- Salt
Instructions
- Cook grits according to package. I use the microwave. Initially,
- cook for 3 minutes to get it hot. Take it out and stir every 1 minute
- or so until they're done. Cook them pretty done, adding water if
- they still taste grainy. Then, add salt to your taste, cheese to your
- taste, cream cheese to make them creamy and as many Alouette
- Garlic and Herb packages as you like (the more the richer!) Taste
- as you go and you'll know!
- Bake at 350° until firm and cheese is melted.
Notes
There's no set amount of anything. Just add, taste and add more of what you think it's missing. If I make a big pan of it, I'll add 1/2 package of cream cheese, a couple of Alouette's and enough cheese to make it cheesy without overpowering it.
