Clark family recipe for Cream Cheese Pound Cake.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- butter
- sugar
- salt
- vanilla flavoring
- eggs
- cake flour
Instructions
- Cream together 1 8oz. cream cheese (room temp.), 3 sticks butter
- (room temp) and 3 cups sugar till very creamy. Add dash of salt
- (very little) and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, mix, then add 6 eggs alternately
- with 3 cups sifted cake flour. Pour into tube pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1hr and 20 minutes.
Notes
Your oven might cook cake quicker. If you check it for doneness, do so very carefully so it will not fall.
