Clark family recipe for Collard Greens.
Ingredients
- 5 6 bunches of collards
- 1 yellow onion sliced
- 2 tbs garlic
- 6 slices bacon, sliced
- 2 qts chicken stock
- 1tsp cayenne
- 3 tbs apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tabasco as needed.
Instructions
- Get about 5 6 bunches of collards clean remove rib and slice.
- Brown the onions, garlic, and bacon in pot then add greens and
- chicken broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil,
- Simmer on low, covered for about an hour add spices and
- seasonings.
- Let it cook for another 20 minutes or so
