Clark family recipe for Boston Creme Pie/Cake.
Ingredients
- Devils Food Cake mix mixed per instructions on box
- Fudge Sauce ( see Lisa's in cookbook)
- filling: 1 c sugar
- filling: 2 eggs
- filling: 3 TBS flour
- filling: 2 c milk
- filling: 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Bake cake mix in two cake pans and cool.
- Make fudge sauce and set aside
- Assemble cake by putting one layer on bottom of cake plate.
- Pour pudding on top of that.
- Add the second layer on top.
- Serve with fudge sauce on top and a dollop of whip cream on top
- of that!
- FILLING:
- Mix sugar, flour and eggs and a little milk until smooth.
- Add remaining milk slowly until all incorporated.
- Cook on medium heat; stirring constantly until thick , like pudding.
- Take off heat and add vanilla and butter. Whisk until butter is melted.
