Clark family recipe for Blackeye Peas.

Ingredients

  • dry blackeyed peas
  • salt
  • ham bone or a hunk of ham

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup of peas( make sure and wash them before you cook
  2. them) in a med sauce pan.
  3. Add enough water to cover them.
  4. Add salt and ham bone or ham
  5. Bring to a boil and turn down to med. and cook for about 45
  6. minutes adding water as needed. As they get tender taste them to
  7. make sure you have enough salt.
