Clark family recipe for Beef Brisket.

Ingredients

  • 1 large beef brisket
  • 12 oz can of coke
  • Lawry's Seasoning Salt

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle Lawry's Seasoning Salt very liberally over both sides of
  2. the brisket. Cook at a very high temperature for 1 hour, uncovered.
  3. (If it's a small brisket, bake at 450°. If it's a fatter one, bake at 475°.
  4. Take out of oven and pour 1 can of coke over whole brisket. Cover
  5. tightly with aluminum foil and cook at 275° for 3 hours.
  6. Take out of oven. Remove all the fat. Cut into small bite sized
  7. pieces and enjoy with the au jus. Great with rolls.

Notes

The first time I tried this, I accidentally bought a corn-beef brisket and it was the wrong thing!! Wasn't too good!! Get just a plain beef brisket!
