Clark family recipe for Beef Brisket.
Ingredients
- 1 large beef brisket
- 12 oz can of coke
- Lawry's Seasoning Salt
Instructions
- Sprinkle Lawry's Seasoning Salt very liberally over both sides of
- the brisket. Cook at a very high temperature for 1 hour, uncovered.
- (If it's a small brisket, bake at 450°. If it's a fatter one, bake at 475°.
- Take out of oven and pour 1 can of coke over whole brisket. Cover
- tightly with aluminum foil and cook at 275° for 3 hours.
- Take out of oven. Remove all the fat. Cut into small bite sized
- pieces and enjoy with the au jus. Great with rolls.
Notes
The first time I tried this, I accidentally bought a corn-beef brisket and it was the wrong thing!! Wasn't too good!! Get just a plain beef brisket!
